The real Korean glass skin protocol — step by step

Glass skin is not a filter, and it is not genetics. It is a combination protocol Korean dermatologists have refined for years — and creams alone cannot reproduce it. This is the four-step structure behind it.

Step 1 — Prepare the canvas

Every protocol starts with gentle, next-generation chemical peels: clear the dead layer, refine texture, no aggressive redness. The goal is not exfoliation for its own sake — it is an absorbent, even surface so the next steps work better. Sanding before painting.

Step 2 — Skinboosters, injected where creams cannot go

This is the core, and the reason Korea leads: the skinbooster ecosystem is deeper than almost anywhere else. Polynucleotides (Rejuran) repair the skin barrier and calm inflammation at the cellular level. PDLLA–HA hybrids (Juvelook) push your own skin to build collagen. Doctors layer them — sometimes adding PDRN for wound-healing stimulus — in a recipe designed for your skin, not a menu item.

Step 3 — Energy devices as the activation signal

Boosters supply the raw material; energy devices supply the signal. Toning lasers for brightness, micro-focused ultrasound or RF for tightening and collagen stimulus. Together they produce what neither can alone — the combination philosophy that underpins Korean dermatology.

Step 4 — Seal and accelerate

Immediately after energy work, while skin channels are open: exosome therapy to speed recovery and cut redness, sometimes LED on top. You leave the clinic visibly different — but the real change builds over weeks as collagen remodels underneath.

If you are planning this in Korea

  • Start prep 2 weeks out: hydrate aggressively, stop retinoids 5–7 days before.
  • Book 60–90 minutes for the protocol, and stay 2–3 days so early redness settles before you fly.
  • Do not order "glass skin" off a menu. Ask: "Look at my skin — what combination would you design for me?"
